Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VumaStudio ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit our website, contact us or place an order (together, the "Services"). Our store is built on Shopify. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms and Conditions, this Privacy Policy applies to how we handle your personal information.
1. Who We Are
We are an online store that sells our products worldwide. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. You can reach us at any time using the details in the "Contact Us" section below.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address.
- Order information: products purchased, order number, order value, delivery details, tracking numbers, returns and refunds.
- Payment information: payment method and confirmation details. Card numbers are processed directly by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Account information: login details and preferences, if you create an account.
- Communications: messages, emails and other information you send to our customer support.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location, pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart and how you arrived at our website.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have subscribed to our emails or text messages and how you interact with them.
3. How We Collect Information
- Directly from you: when you place an order, contact us, create an account, subscribe to our emails or take part in a promotion.
- Automatically: through cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you browse our website (see "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" below).
- From service providers: for example, payment providers confirming your payment or carriers updating delivery status.
- From social media platforms: for example, when you message us or visit our website from one of our social media profiles.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- process, fulfil and deliver your orders, including sending order confirmations, shipping updates and tracking information;
- handle returns, refunds, exchanges and delivery issues;
- respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- send marketing emails or messages, where you have agreed to receive them;
- operate, maintain and improve our website, products and customer experience;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations and enforce our terms.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors): we process your personal information to perform our contract with you (for example, delivering your order), based on our legitimate interests (for example, preventing fraud and improving our store), with your consent (for example, marketing emails and non-essential cookies) and to comply with legal obligations (for example, keeping invoices).
5. How Your Order Is Fulfilled
We work with independent suppliers and fulfilment partners who prepare and ship orders directly to our customers. Some of these partners may be located outside your country. To deliver your order, we share only the information they need: your name, shipping address, phone number, the products ordered and tracking details. Our partners may use this information only to fulfil and deliver your order.
Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days, depending on order volume. Delivery usually takes 7-12 business days, depending on your country. Full details are available in our Shipping Policy.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described in this Privacy Policy, including with:
- Shopify, which hosts our store (see "Our Relationship with Shopify" below);
- payment providers, which process your payments securely;
- suppliers and fulfilment partners, which prepare and ship your order;
- shipping carriers and order-tracking services, which deliver your order and provide tracking updates;
- apps and IT service providers, which help us run the store, for example email, customer support, reviews and analytics tools;
- authorities, courts or professional advisers, where required by law or to protect our rights;
- a buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged or reorganised;
- anyone else, with your consent or at your direction.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to:
- make our website work, for example to keep items in your cart and process checkout (strictly necessary);
- remember your preferences, such as language and currency;
- understand how visitors use our website (analytics).
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie banner or the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of our website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the website, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly.
8. Marketing and Your Choices
- Emails and text messages: you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, by replying STOP to our text messages, or by contacting us. We may still send you order-related messages.
- Targeted advertising: we do not currently use your personal information for targeted advertising. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so. You can manage your privacy choices at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): where required by law, we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser or device. We do not currently respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
9. Our Relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes personal information on our behalf to provide and improve our store. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our store and other Shopify merchants to provide certain enhanced features, for which Shopify is responsible. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can submit requests about that information through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
10. International Data Transfers
Because we sell worldwide and work with partners in different countries, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in or processed in countries other than your own, including countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or their UK equivalents, unless the destination country has been recognised as providing adequate protection or another legal exception applies.
11. How Long We Keep Your Information
- Order and payment records: for as long as required by tax and accounting laws, which can be up to 10 years.
- Customer support messages: for up to 3 years after our last contact, unless needed longer to resolve a dispute.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
- Account data: until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
- Cookies: for the period set for each cookie, unless you delete them earlier.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
12. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure, certified payment processing. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive information, such as card numbers, by email.
13. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete your personal information;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- object to or restrict certain processing (EEA and UK);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.
To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. We will reply within the time required by law, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf, but we may ask for proof that the agent is authorised. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
14. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
15. Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to other websites and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies before sharing your information with them.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services or legal requirements. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Please check this page regularly.
